400 polished stainless steel rods are arranged on a grid
one mile long by one kilometer wide in Quemado, New Mexico by Walter De Maria.

The artist has removed himself and The Lightning Field installation is completed by Nature. The result is always as thrillingly unruly and unpredictable as the very time, shape and intensity of the strikes.
